Day 1: Guilin City Ride
The tour starts with a short and easy city ride in Guilin. The route is fully paved and mostly uses dedicated non-motorized lanes, making it a comfortable warm-up before the longer riding days. Riders should still pay attention to scooters, especially on busier urban sections. Along Binjiang Road, the cycling lane is marked by road lines rather than a physical barrier, but the scenery is excellent, with views of the Li River, Elephant Trunk Hill, the Sun and Moon Pagodas and other Guilin city landmarks.
Day 2: Guilin to Yangshuo via the Daxu–Xingping Route
This is one of the main cycling days of the tour, following the Daxu–Xingping route from Guilin toward Yangshuo. The route is also known among hikers as a classic crossing route and overlaps with part of the Tour of Guangxi Guilin cycling course. It has more climbing than the city ride, so it is slightly more challenging, but e-bikes make the ride manageable for most guests. The Guilin city to Daxu section uses paved roads with dedicated non-motorized lanes. From Daxu toward Xingping, there are no dedicated cycling lanes on some sections, and parts of the road may include gravel. One highlight is the riverside section from Daxu to Gudong Waterfall, where riders cycle along the Li River.
Day 3: Yangshuo Yulong River Ride
This day follows one of Yangshuo’s classic countryside cycling routes around the Yulong River area. The route is fully paved and very suitable for cycling. Main-road sections include non-motorized lanes, while the village-road sections are quiet, with very little traffic. This is a scenic and relaxed riding day, passing through rural roads, river landscapes, farmland and karst mountain scenery. It is especially suitable for guests who want an easy countryside cycling experience in Yangshuo.
Day 4: Xianggong Mountain and Optional Tea Garden Hike
This ride goes toward the Xianggong Mountain area and includes more climbing than the easier Yangshuo countryside routes. Riders who are interested in hiking can add an optional walking section to Damian Mountain, located inside a private tea garden. Guests who prefer to keep the day focused on cycling can skip the hike and ride directly to the public Xianggong Mountain viewpoint. Both options offer excellent views of the famous Li River bend and surrounding karst mountains.
Day 5: Xingping Ancient Town Ride
This day focuses on the Xingping area, with cycling mainly on rural roads and countryside sections. The road conditions are generally suitable for cycling, and the route combines karst scenery, village roads and access to Xingping Ancient Town. It is a good day for guests who want a balance of relaxed riding, local scenery and cultural stops without the heavier climbing of the mountain sections.
Day 6: Longji Terraced Fields Ride
The Longji Terraced Fields day brings the tour into a more mountainous landscape. The route is expected to combine paved roads and rural village roads, with more elevation than the easier Guilin and Yangshuo sections. Because the terrain may be more demanding, e-bikes and support vehicle backup are especially useful on this day. The focus is on mountain scenery, terraced fields and rural Guangxi landscapes.
Day 7: Departure
The tour ends with departure arrangements from Guilin, Yangshuo or another confirmed transfer point depending on the final itinerary. Guests may have time for a relaxed morning, a short optional ride or transfer to the airport, train station or hotel.

Special Circumstances & Travel Insurance Recommendations
We recognize that international travel can be impacted by unforeseen events. Because our cancellation schedule must be strictly enforced to cover prepaid ground operations, we highly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel and trip-cancellation insurance immediately after paying their deposit.
Insurance is particularly crucial to avoid financial loss in the following scenarios:
Volatile Regions & Political Changes: For guests traveling from countries experiencing conflict, war, or sudden political shifts, standard medical insurance will not cover a trip cancelled out of fear or geopolitical instability. We strongly suggest purchasing "Cancel for Any Reason" (CFAR) coverage.
Senior Travelers (Ages 70–80): Older demographics are more vulnerable to sudden health changes prior to departure. Specialized insurance covering acute pre-existing conditions and offering CFAR benefits is highly advised.
Transit Delays & Interruptions: Flight or train cancellations, delays, or schedule changes can force guests to return early or incur high out-of-pocket costs for rebooking local and international transit. A robust travel policy will protect against these unexpected travel interruptions.
