Most local small rental shops only provide heavy domestic commuter e-bikes built for daily transport. However, professional cycling tour operators provide actual premium carbon fiber electric mountain bikes for a multi-day tour. Our advanced ebike rental fleet includes high-performance models like the Amflow, Specialized Turbo Levo, Cannondale Moterra, and Trek Fuel EXe. These lightweight, premium vehicles are specially engineered for trail riding, ensuring maximum comfort and reliability during an extensive backcountry ebike tour.
We offer two distinct models of e-bikes for multi-day tours: the DJI Amflow and the Phoenix. Both battery systems function exceptionally well in hot weather, supporting a real-world riding range spanning from 80 to over 100 kilometers. However, battery power drains faster in cold winter conditions. The premium Amflow performs significantly better on steep mountain climbs, while the Phoenix handles roughly 90 kilometers with 600–700 meters of elevation gain on an ebike tour.
Google Maps hardly works in China due to internet access restrictions and a complete lack of official data sharing with Chinese map services. For reliable routing along gravel and secondary roads during a multi-day tour, travelers should download AMap Global, which features a full English interface. Our dedicated ebike tour company has pre-set many cycling-friendly routes directly on it. Only AMap Global can provide dedicated bike navigation paths, making it the ultimate tool for independent ebike rental journeys.
If you stay in rural areas during multi-day tours and haven’t linked your international card to WeChat Pay or Alipay, carrying about 200 yuan in cash is highly recommended. Upon arrival, you can buy a local phone number, and hotel or airport staff can help you bind your credit card to mobile payments. While Alipay is exclusively for transactions, WeChat allows chatting, booking cars, and transferring money. It also automatically translates Chinese messages into English. When encountering payment or booking troubles on your ebike tour, you can ask hotel reception staff to speak Chinese for you.
Both travel VPN apps and international eSIM cards work exceptionally well in China, allowing you to stay connected with family during longer multi-day tours. There are two highly recommended ways to maintain stable internet access on your ebike tour. First, you can activate international roaming packages with your home provider before you arrive, which is often more cost-effective. Second, preparing a stable VPN app in advance ensures reliable access to manage your ebike rental logistics seamlessly.

If you gas out on a massive mountain climb or difficult gravel section, our accompanying sag wagon can immediately pick you up. Your ebike rental will be securely loaded onto the vehicle's custom racks. You can rest comfortably in the passenger cabin and seamlessly rejoin the active ebike tour group at the next suitable stop.
Our team arranges comprehensive insurance coverage of 1 million RMB for guests who book a premium ebike rental or guided trip. This specialized insurance covers most medical expenses resulting from trail injuries, featuring a maximum payout limit of 1 million RMB. If you get injured in remote areas during multi-day e-bike tours, contact our cycling team immediately via WhatsApp or WeChat. Sharing your location allows our support vehicles or local hotel staff to coordinate immediate ambulance rescue.

We rented an ebike for 4 hours in Yangshou and we follow the 34km route that they suggested. The route was spectacular, rode by the Li river, countryside and small villages. It was by far the best experience of our trip.

We found their contact through the QR code at the front desk of our hotel when seeking reliable bikes for a family ride (we were just about to give up among all the offers for scooters). And they were all we could ask for: top notch, well maintained, and reliable bikes - even for us, a couple of average 1,85m height . We started from their shop with just a paper map in hand, and rented the e-bikes for 2 full days (including child seat): NO REGRETS. From setting up the Amap route according to our preferences to checking up on our arrival safely at the hotel in the evening, their service was outstanding (and in English, just fine). Handing over the bikes after closing times was also an easy process (they close at 16.30h). I am very happy to recommend their services and wish them the best of success.

I had an amazing experience with Cyclequestchina. I rented an e-bike for the day, which came with a Dji 360 camera and bags. The overall quality was very good and I had no issues at all. The pickup at the store was smooth. Before handing over the bike, everything was well explained and I could even choose a route with maps that included popular scenic points accessible by following the GPS. I returned the bike to the store after completing a full round trip. The staff were amazing and I would recommend this experience if you want to see the major scenic points in Yangshuo by yourself.

The gravel bikes we rented were in great shape and the GPX file they provided was very helpful especially once we were out on the country roads. The shop was a little hard to find but they responded through Whatsapp quickly and we were able to find it. The 20k Yulong River route was very beautiful and great for cycling. Would highly recommend. If we come back we will definitely leave more time to try one of the longer routes with more climbing and distance.
