This tour was one of the highlights of my whole China trip. I fully recommend booking a full day tour (even if not cheap 😉) as the guide took me to spots that I would have never found on my own. The views were absolutely stunning and it was such an amazing feeling cruising through this incredible landscape with an e-bike. The guide was very nice and helpful, setting a perfect pace, and took many pictures. The quality of the bike was also great. All in all - I had a perfect day!

The 100 km Jincheng (Tianfu) Greenway is a world-class, fully grade-separated asphalt cycling ring encircling Chengdu with 78 architectural bridges and zero traffic lights. For fast 3–4 hour laps, rent our aero carbon road bikes (Trek Madone SLR 7 / SL Gen 8, Giant Propel Advanced 1, Specialized Tarmac SL7, or KUNG Horizon). For a relaxed sightseeing ride at 20–25 km/h, choose the Giant Escape E+ urban e-bike, Fnix 27.5 Step-Through E-Bike, Trek FX 2 Disc fitness bike, or Specialized Diverge E5.
Head east 25 km from central Chengdu to Longquanshan Forest Park for classic switchback road climbs (elevation 800–1,000m), or ride west toward Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng in the Longmenshan foothills. Our Giant TCR Advanced 0 (Gen 9), TCR Advanced 1 (Gen 10), and Specialized Tarmac SL7—all equipped with 105/Ultegra Di2 or wide-range climbing cassettes and hydraulic disc brakes—are ideal for these routes.

Chengdu sits in the humid Sichuan Basin (500m elevation), where winds are light year-round and temperatures stay mild, though morning mist or damp tarmac is common under tree cover. All of our Chengdu road, gravel, mountain, and e-bike rentals use disc brakes and 28–38mm tyres for reliable wet-and-dry grip.
Helmets are. Every Chengdu rental includes a free safety helmet and verified GPX files for the 100 km Greenway and Longquanshan climbs. Clipless pedals (Shimano SPD-SL, Shimano SPD or Look Keo) are a paid add-on at $5 USD per day; flat pedals come standard.
