We rented gravel bikes from Cyclequest to ride around the Chengdu area and then a second trip around Lake Erhai, Dali. The service and bikes were excellent. It made our trip thoroughly enjoyable. I loved cycling in China. Bikes can go everywhere. It’s not the same in Canadian cities!.

We werden uitstekend geholpen door de jongeman aan de balie. Erg aardig en behulpzaam. Hij spreekt ook goed Engels. De fietsen zijn van goede kwaliteit en reden prima. We konden een route naar eigen keuze scannen in het kantoor en via A-Map kregen we de route in onze eigen taal op de telefoon, wat wil je nog meer. We kregen een gratis transfer terug naar ons hotel.

This tour was one of the highlights of my whole China trip. I fully recommend booking a full day tour (even if not cheap 😉) as the guide took me to spots that I would have never found on my own. The views were absolutely stunning and it was such an amazing feeling cruising through this incredible landscape with an e-bike. The guide was very nice and helpful, setting a perfect pace, and took many pictures. The quality of the bike was also great. All in all - I had a perfect day!

Thanks Bike Asia for a great service. We had a beautiful ride from Guilin to Xingping. Rob helped coordinate bike rental delivery through Whats App weeks in advance. Bikes were great quality and looked new. They were delivered to our hotel on time. They came with locks, ponchos, front light, and phone holder. We also requested bag delivery for our luggage. 10/10 recommend!

Where did you ride, and would you ride it again? In Yangshuo, the route provided by Cyclequest was close to perfect. Definitely would do it again. How did pickup and return go? Pickup very good, in the return there was no one in the shop. How was the bike itself — condition, fit, ready to go? Good for the price.

We highly recommend renting bicycles from Cyclequest to anyone who likes a good adventure! First of all, shoutout to Ivan for his help and responsiveness concerning the reservation! We went with gravel bikes, amazing quality, and they were quickly fitted before the ride. We also received help with choosing the itinerary for our trip in Yangshuo, and it turned out to have an absolutely beautiful landscape. One of the best memories to keep from our trip to China! We highly recommend!

The gravel bikes we rented were in great shape and the GPX file they provided was very helpful especially once we were out on the country roads. The shop was a little hard to find but they responded through Whatsapp quickly and we were able to find it. The 20k Yulong River route was very beautiful and great for cycling. Would highly recommend. If we come back we will definitely leave more time to try one of the longer routes with more climbing and distance.
We rented an ebike for 4 hours in Yangshou and we follow the 34km route that they suggested. The route was spectacular, rode by the Li river, countryside and small villages. It was by far the best experience of our trip.

We found their contact through the QR code at the front desk of our hotel when seeking reliable bikes for a family ride (we were just about to give up among all the offers for scooters). And they were all we could ask for: top notch, well maintained, and reliable bikes - even for us, a couple of average 1,85m height . We started from their shop with just a paper map in hand, and rented the e-bikes for 2 full days (including child seat): NO REGRETS. From setting up the Amap route according to our preferences to checking up on our arrival safely at the hotel in the evening, their service was outstanding (and in English, just fine). Handing over the bikes after closing times was also an easy process (they close at 16.30h). I am very happy to recommend their services and wish them the best of success.

We did a 34km loop along the river and had a wonderful time. The bikes were in great condition and the staff were very helpful. Pick up and drop off was organised for us, a seamless experience all in all. Definitely recommend.

I had an amazing experience with Cyclequestchina. I rented an e-bike for the day, which came with a Dji 360 camera and bags. The overall quality was very good and I had no issues at all. The pickup at the store was smooth. Before handing over the bike, everything was well explained and I could even choose a route with maps that included popular scenic points accessible by following the GPS. I returned the bike to the store after completing a full round trip. The staff were amazing and I would recommend this experience if you want to see the major scenic points in Yangshuo by yourself.

How was your guide — pace, language, local knowledge? Our guide, Ivan, was the best! He took us on safe paths, looked out for us- and even stopped for us when we wanted to take a photo. In addition- we had our 4 year old daughter with us and he knew when we had to slow down, or be careful- he was extra cautious. My favorite part of the trip was when we stopped for a cold beverage- the view was beautiful, and the drinks were delicious. Ivan was very knowledgeable about the routes, and where to go- this tour was so so great. We did the E bike and that allowed us to enjoy the scenery and mountains, without getting too tired. We also got some amazing photos from Ivan at the end- great photos to help remember how beautiful and fun it was! We can't wait to do another tour with this company!!

What a fantastic tour it was by far the best one we have done throughout our one year trip. From start to finish . We were picked up at our hotel in a luxury minibus for us and our 3 brilliant crew . Our driver our cycling guide and our organiser. The equipment was all brand new and immaculate. We stayed in 5 different hotels all excellent . The lads helped us choose food in the restaurants for lunch and dinner. We often stopped for local snacks in the mountains. The cycling routes were amazing the views and local culture were spot on. We did over 300km over 5 rides to altitudes of almost 5000km some days were a bit cloudy but it didn’t stop us we really got a true feel for scenic China . Their organisation and planning and communication was also excellent .We also felt we were on an action movie photo shoot with the number of photos that they took . The trip far exceeded our expectations!

Whilst staying in Yangshuo the 3 of us booked the 66km e-cycle tour with Cycle Quest China through our hotel (you can of course book directly with them) taking in rice and lotus fields, incredible mountain views, experiencing the natural wonders of the Yangshuo area as well as a fantastic local lunch in a tiny village where the fish, chicken and vegetable’s were so delicious as a result of the local mineral water spring and local farming methods. We had the absolute best day with our expert guides. It was very well coordinated with regular rest and hydration breaks. We were very well taken care of and had the most amazing experience, we are already looking at booking again! Cannot rate this company highly enough! Excellent! 🌟 🚲

Fantastic way to explore an amazing part of the world. Rob hooked me up with a really well set up di2 road bike that let me explore around the roads of the Guilin-Yangshuo. Well suggested routes and GPS maps, and helpful staff. Excellent area for credit card camping, with very reasonable accommodation and food, and super memorable scenery. All the better from a speedy bike!

Our family recently spent two weeks travelling through China and we were fortunate to discover Rob and Cyclequest while in Yangshuo. We joined a half-day e-cycling tour that took us along the river, through the stunning karst hills, and into local villages we would never have found on our own. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The equipment was modern and well maintained, and Rob was exceptionally friendly, generous with his time, and deeply knowledgeable about the area. His local insight made the experience feel authentic. We only wish we had found Cyclequest earlier in our stay, as we would happily have booked another ride. Our whole adventure started by chance. We walked into the bike shop in Guilin just to browse, and two days later, we left as friends, completely amazed. Even though we had no gear, the team sorted everything in a snap. The 80km bike tour from Guilin to Yangshuo was something else entirely! We saw the real China: ancient villages, bridges, river crossings, and tough climbs, complete with a cafe at the top of a pass with a 'million-dollar view'. But the real story happened when our support moped's battery died on a climb. Without missing a beat, our guide and the company's founder, Rob, packed all 20 kilos of our gear into his huge backpack, slung it on, and said, 'Let's keep going.' He kept pace and cracked jokes as if he were carrying a feather. That's when we realized Rob is made of steel and pure passion. That's next-level commitment—an owner who cares more about the experience and the people than just going through the motions. You don't just run tours; you create stories that stick with people forever. To anyone who wants to see China come alive and feel like a friend, not a tourist—look no further.

Discovering Guilin by bike was simply amazing! Taking on both the 96 KM T1 Xianggong Mountain route and the 89 KM ride to the Great Waterfall gave us an unforgettable way to experience China up close. Riding through these regions offers something you just cannot get from a bus window—breathtaking karst landscapes towering above you, crisp fresh air, and a profound connection to the local environment and authentic village life. Tackling nearly 185 kilometers over two days might sound daunting to some, but the entire journey was executed flawlessly. The premium equipment provided made the long climbs and sweeping valley descents feel smooth, responsive, and completely secure. A special thanks goes out to our tour organizer, Rob, who planned every single detail perfectly. His deep local knowledge of the area meant we were always riding on the best, safest roads with the most spectacular views. He guided us with incredible dedication, ensuring our logistics were entirely handled, from perfectly timed hydration stops to expert route pacing. If you want a truly immersive, seamless outdoor adventure without any of the typical travel stress, this is it. Highly recommended!

We visited Guilin with friends and were lucky enough to cross paths with Rob. After experiencing excellent food and service, the highlight was his suggestion for a bike route down to Yangshuo. We met up the next morning, and honestly, the whole experience felt like a dream. Rob and his team provided professional, patient support the entire way. Having the support van follow us to ensure we had water, snacks, and meals exactly when we needed a break was incredible. The ride was challenging, but it delivered the most beautiful scenery I have ever witnessed. We arrived in Yangshuo exhausted but completely satisfied. Thank you for an amazing trip!
