These terms govern your use of cyclequestchina.com, operated by CycleQuest China, the trading name of Guangxi Qiyi Culture Tourism Development Co., Ltd. By browsing the site you accept them. They cover the website itself; the commercial terms of a booking live on our Booking Terms and Rental Terms pages, and how we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Cookies

We distinguish two kinds of cookie:

• Required cookies keep the site working and secure. The site cannot be delivered without them, so they are set without asking for consent.
• Optional cookies are used only for statistics and marketing optimisation, and are set only where you allow them.

Allowing required cookies also means accepting the third-party elements the site depends on — most visibly the embedded video players used for route previews, which set their own cookies under their operators' policies.

Intellectual Property

All content on this site is owned by CycleQuest China: the text, the photography and video, the maps, and above all the route designs themselves. Our routes and the “Saddle-View” insight we publish about them — which climbs are worth it, which roads carry traffic, where the light is at six in the morning — are the product of 31 years of combined technical outdoor leadership by our founders Rob Ng and Ryder Chin, and of the fieldwork behind every itinerary we sell.

You may read, share and link to this material freely. You may not copy, republish, sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute it, reproduce it as part of a competing commercial offering, or present our route designs as your own. Requests to use our photography or route material — for press, education or partnership — are usually granted; just ask us first.

Comments and User-Generated Content

Where the site accepts comments, reviews or other submissions, the views expressed are the author's own and not those of CycleQuest China. We do not pre-screen submissions and accept no liability for them.

We do reserve the right to monitor what is posted and to remove anything we judge offensive, defamatory, unlawful, or in breach of these terms. By posting, you warrant that you own or are licensed to use what you submit, that it infringes nobody's rights, and that it is not being used for commercial solicitation. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce and edit your submission in any form we publish.

Linking to This Site

Government bodies, search engines, news organisations, online directories and accredited industry associations may link to our homepage or to published content without prior approval, provided the link is not deceptive, does not falsely imply that we sponsor or endorse them, and fits the context of the linking site.

Links that misrepresent the relationship, or that would bring the brand into disrepute, are not permitted, and we may ask for their removal at any time. Framing our pages or altering their visual presentation requires our written consent.

Disclaimer and Liability

The site is provided on an “as is” basis. Route descriptions, distances, gradients and seasonal advice are published in good faith and reviewed regularly, but conditions on the ground change; nothing here replaces your own judgement or the briefing your guides give you before a ride. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude liability for loss arising from reliance on the site or from its unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Governing Law and Changes

These terms, and any service agreement formed under them, are governed by the law applying to Guangxi Qiyi Culture Tourism Development Co., Ltd. We may update this page as the site and our services change; the date above shows when it was last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
