Introduction
The Aethos Sport is the pure, unadulterated road-riding expression of our flagship Aethos platform. It’s built for riders who judge a machine not by its aero wattage, but by the way it breathes beneath them on a long climb or a winding descent. Its FACT 9R carbon frame—derived from the same Rider-First Engineered™ philosophy that birthed the 585-gram S-Works chassis—has been meticulously re-engineered from traditional round tubes to deliver massive gains in stiffness and balance, without adding a single gram of unnecessary material. The result is a complete bike hovering near 7.8 kilograms—a figure that feels almost improbable the first time you lift it by the saddle.
The Aethos Sport carries the same design ethos that sets the Aethos family apart from the aero-optimized Tarmac: a perfect balance of front and rear stiffness, tuned not for raw sprint metrics, but for the tactile, organic flow of forces through the frame. Every detail—from the threaded bottom bracket to the fork expander plug—has been scrutinized for durability and style, not just weight savings. The geometry is sporty enough to feel urgent when the road pitches upward, yet composed enough that all-day saddle comfort remains part of the conversation, even on the longest café rides.
Shimano’s 105 mechanical groupset handles shifting duties with the low-maintenance reliability that has made it the benchmark for riders logging real miles, paired with hydraulic disc brakes for consistent modulation in mixed conditions. DT Swiss R470 Disc wheels complete the package—bomb-proof hoops that shrug off rough tarmac and keep the ride feeling planted rather than fragile. The Aethos Sport isn’t the lightest bike in the range, nor is it meant to be; it is the Aethos recipe translated into a build that invites you to ride it hard, ride it far, and ride it without fuss. Just a few pedal strokes, and you’ll understand: this is a bike that chases ride quality, not a number.
