Bike Mechanic, Cycling Experience Tour Guide & RtR Education Programme Instructor
Hou Chengxing is a versatile cycling specialist who combines rigorous technical precision with exceptional interpersonal skills. Having completed systematic technical training in Chengdu, he is an expert in high-end road bike assembly, internal cable routing and electronic drivetrain optimisation, proficient across Shimano Di2, Ultegra and 105 groupsets and in the deep cleaning and overhaul of wheelsets, bottom brackets and drivetrains. What sets him apart is a background in early childhood education, which gives him the patience and emotional intelligence to mentor family cycling tours and youth outdoor programmes. Deeply familiar with the terrain and cycling routes in and around Yangshuo, he manages the local rental fleet and provides trackside mechanical support, and is highly skilled in IT troubleshooting — setting up and syncing cycling computers, power meters and training apps. As a skilled photographer and drone operator, he also captures and edits cinematic memories of every journey.
